Naples doesn't ask for protection. It demands it. And when things get complicated, there's always someone to turn to.
That's how "San Gennà, FUTTATENNE!" came to be — the new Limited Edition T-shirt from Napoli Tattà® dedicated to San Gennaro, patron saint of Naples and probably one of the deepest symbols of the relationship between this city, faith, history and that particular Neapolitan knack for facing even the hardest moments with irony.
We didn't want to make just another t-shirt dedicated to San Gennaro.
We took an image deeply rooted in Neapolitan culture and brought it into the language of contemporary street art.
The result is a black t-shirt with strong character, built around a large back illustration in which San Gennaro looks directly at the viewer, winks and holds up the reliquary containing the two ampoules of blood, reinterpreted through urban graphics dominated by black, yellow, white and small touches of red.
Below, a phrase that needs little explanation:
SAN GENNÀ, FUTTATENNE!
(Roughly, "San Gennaro, don't worry about it!" — a phrase full of Neapolitan warmth, cheekily asking the saint to just let it go.)
It's not just a slogan but almost a contemporary Neapolitan prayer.
A request for protection, spoken the way Naples knows how to talk to its saints: with respect, familiarity, irony and that closeness that belongs to centuries of history.
A t-shirt best appreciated when you turn around
The main feature of the Napoli Tattà® San Gennaro T-shirt is the large print on the back.
San Gennaro is depicted in the traditional yellow bishop's robes, holding the reliquary of his blood with one hand. Inside the same reliquary, the two ampoules — the smaller one and the larger one — are clearly shown, a central element of the tradition linked to the Miracle of San Gennaro.
The whole composition is turned into a piece of Neapolitan street art, with brushstrokes, splashes, urban textures and a deliberately powerful visual construction.
The front, on the other hand, stays essential.
On the chest, only the mark appears:

TATTÀ®
printed in yellow.
A deliberate choice: minimal at the front, explosive at the back.
